(Col.) Dr. Avnish Seth VSM is a Medical gastroenterologist with more than 42 years of professional experience. His field of expertise includes Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including Endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, Spiral Enteroscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, and Pediatric endoscopy, Dyspepsia & pain abdomen, GI bleeding, Ulcerative Colitis & Crohn’s Disease, chronic constipation, chronic diarrhea, pancreatitis, weight management including gastric balloon placement, Stool Transplant (FMT), etc. Organ and Tissue donation His educational qualifications include an MBBS from Armed Forces Medical Coll. (AFMC), Pune, 1982; MD (General Medicine) from Armed Forces Medical Coll. (AFMC), Pune, 1989; and DM (Gastroenterology) from Postgraduate Inst. of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, 1995. He also received a Fellowship in Liver Transplantation from Queen Elizabeth Hosp., Birmingham, UK, in 2006 and a Fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasound (USA) from the Medical Univ. of South Carolina and the Univ. Of Alabama, Birmingham, USA, in 2011. Dr. Seth served as a Governing Council member for the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) and Society of GI Endoscopy of India (SGEI) He has authored over 100 publications. He is a part of the Apex Technical Committee of the National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) He is also an Advisory Board part of the Multi Organ Harvesting Aid Network (MOHAN) Foundation and a chair of the Expert Committee on ‘Ang Daan Yojana’, an initiative of the Government of Haryana, India. Dr. Seth is also leading the Working Group on Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) in India. He is an active part of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the Society of GI Endoscopy of India, the Indian Society of Gastroenterology, the Government of India Committee on National Guidelines for Liver Transplantation, and the Indian National Association for Study of Liver.
