Dr. (Lt. Gen.) Ajit Singh Narula is a prominent nephrologist with more than 40 years of professional experience in various tertiary care at the Armed Forces Hosp. and Fortis Group of Hospitals. His expertise lies in kidney stone treatment, hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration (HDF), insulin treatment, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) treatment. After completing his MBBS from Madras Univ., Chennai, India, in 1977, he also achieved an MD (General Medicine) from the Univ. of Pune in 1982 and a DM (Nephrology) from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India, in 1990. He has served as a Senior Adviser & consultant in Medicine and nephrology to the Armed Forces and professor and HOD at AFMC, Pune. He is a postgraduate teacher and examiner at various medical universities. He is a former Honorary Surgeon to the President of India and has received Presidential accolades for exceptional service to the nation. Dr. Narula has served as bestowed with Academic accolades in the field of Nephrology. He has served as invited as a guest faculty in CDEs and conferences worldwide. To his credit, there are over 92 publications in both national and international journals. Dr. Narula co-authors various books, including Textbook of Environmental Emergencies, Opportunistic Infections Post-renal Transplant, Diabetic Nephropathy, Environmental Toxins and the Kidney, and Vascular Injury to the Kidney.
