Dr. Ajitabh Srivastava is a well?recognized Hepatologist, Surgical Gastroenterologist, and Liver Transplant Surgeon in New Delhi. He brings over 26 years of professional experience. He has performed over 2500 liver transplants, including living donor, deceased donor, pediatric, and combined liver and kidney transplants. Dr. Srivastava is skilled in complex hepatobiliary surgery, surgical gastroenterology, and kidney transplants. His expertise includes hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, acute liver failure treatment, laparoscopic surgery, gall bladder surgery, pancreatic surgery, bile duct surgery, and transplant surgery. He completed his MBBS, MS (General Surgery), and DNB (General Surgery) from the Goa Medical Coll. from 1998 to 2005. Later, Dr. Srivastava received advanced training in HPB Surgery and Liver Transplant at Sir Ganga Ram Hosp., New Delhi. He then cleared all USMLE steps and did an ASTS-accredited fellowship in Solid Organ transplant at the Univ. of Rochester, New York. Dr. Srivastava is also a a fellow of the American Coll. of Surgeons (FACS) and a a fellow of the International Coll. of Surgeons (FICS). He actively participates in pioneering liver transplant procedures in India and subsequent advancements in living donor liver transplant techniques, including minimally invasive donor hepatectomy, ABOI, Domino, and dual liver transplant. He is a founding part of transplant units at various well?recognized hospitals and has contributed significantly to the development of operational protocols there. Dr. Srivastava has authored numerous publications and abstracts in prestigious international and national journals and contributed chapters to textbooks. He maintains active membership in various professional organizations, including the Liver Transplant Society of India, the International Liver Transplant Society, the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, and the Association of Surgeons of India.
