About Us

• Dr. Amanjeet Singh is the Director and Head of Medanta's Division of GI Surgery, GI Oncology, and Bariatric Surgery.
• After completing his MBBS from Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot, in 1998, he also achieved an MS (General Surgery) from Dayanand Medical College And Hospital, Ludhiana, 2003, and a DNB (Surgical Gastroenterology) from the National Board of Examination, India, 2009.
• Further education included advanced training at prestigious institutions like the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and a laparoscopic colorectal surgery fellowship at SMC Korea.
• His specialized training in Surgical Gastroenterology was completed at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where he was honored with the Ravi K Jerath Award.
• Additional training credentials include sessions at renowned institutions like IRCAD in Strasbourg, Taiwan, and Japan.
• Dr. Singh has received extensive international training in advanced laparoscopy, laparoscopic colorectal, and robotic surgery.
• He is one of the pioneers of Hand Assisted Laparoscopic Surgery and has designed his own cost effective technique for the same named as Medanta Handport Technique which was presented at Annual Conference of American Society of Colorectal Surgeons meeting at Florida, USA last year.
• He actively contributes to the field as a member of various surgical societies and a reviewer for National journals.
• With numerous publications in major surgical journals and active participation in global conferences, Dr. Singh is a recognized figure in his field.
• Dr. Singh is an active member of the Association of Surgeons of India, Indian Association of Gastro Endoscopic Surgeons, Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS), Association of Colon and Rectal Surgeons of India, and International College of Robotic Surgeons.
