Dr. Amit Kumar Chaurasia is an Interventional Cardiologist with more than 13 years of professional experience. His extensive professional experience is in Adult, Pediatric, and Peripheral interventions, including complex coronary interventions, Left main intervention, chronic total occlusion (CTO), and other intricate procedures. He is recognized nationally and internationally for specialization in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR) Dr. Chaurasia was one of the first proctors for TAVI in India, with a record of over 1000 TAVI/TAVR procedures. One of his notable achievements in India was performing Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Replacement (TPVR) in the smallest conduit. He is skilled in transcatheter mitral valve replacements (TMVR), has a special interest in BMV and Mitra-clip, and has accomplished over 50 left atrial appendage closures. After completing his MBBS from Pondicherry Univ. in 2004, he also achieved an MD (Internal Medicine) from AIIMS in 2008 and a DM (Cardiology) from Sree Chitra Tirunal Inst. for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum in 2011. Dr. Chaurasia completed a Fellowship in Complex Coronary and Structural Heart Disease from GOKI, Budapest (Hungary), a fellowship from the European Society of Cardiology, and a fellowship from the Asia Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology. He is actively involved as a course director, course co-director, and faculty in national and international conferences. Dr. Chaurasia has significantly contributed to advanced training doctors in TAVI procedures in India and abroad and conducts workshops on complex coronary interventions at various locations such as Hungary, Budapest, Paris, Vietnam, Bangkok, the Philippines, and India.
