Dr. Anirban Chatterjee is a medical gastroenterologist. His career spans more than 40 years, and he has work professional experience in both India and the UK. His expertise lies in the treatment of acute liver failure and critically ill gastrology patients. He has a special interest in biliary endotherapy. He has a special interest in pancreatic work, liver problems, and gastroenterological emergencies. He has specialization in treating a wide array of medical conditions, like Acid Reflux (GERD), Barrett's Oesophagus (Barrett's Syndrome), Blind Loop Syndrome, Celiac Disease (Gluten Intolerance), and Liver Cirrhosis. He also has professional experience in dealing with various types of Hepatitis- Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and Autoimmune Hepatitis, Hepatitis E. He also has specialization in performing surgeries like Anal Sphincterotomy Hemicolectomy Liver Transplantation Sigmoidoscopy Vagotomy Necrosectomy Other than Gastric issues, he also has years of specialization in liver anomalies, Enlarged Liver (Hepatomegaly), Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Vomiting Blood (Hematemesis), Food Hypersensitivity, Stomach/Gastric Cancer, and more. Dr. Chatterjee completed his MBBS from Calcutta Medical Coll., Kolkata, in 1984, MRCP (UK) - Royal Coll. of Physicians, UK in 1990, and FRCP from Royal Coll. of Physicians, London in 2018. He is a part of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG), the Liver and Endoscopy Societies of India (SGEI), and INASL. He holds the title of a fellow of the Royal Coll. of Physicians, London, FRCP. He presented an overview of the "Management of Chronic Hepatitis" in Tata Motors Hosp. on 22nd April 2024.
