Dr. Arun Kumar Giri is a highly skilled Surgical Oncologist and Robotic Surgeon with more than 27 years of professional experience. His expertise lies in Robotic (Da Vinci Xi platform) and Minimally Invasive Surgeries. Dr. Giri focuses on the surgical management of cancers of the lungs, prostate, head & neck, kidney, liver, uterus, ovaries, mouth, esophagus, and larynx. He is widely experienced in thyroid surgery, thoracic surgery, mastectomy, breast conservation surgery, onco-plasty, breast reconstruction, and limb salvage surgery for bone sarcomas. He completed his MBBS and MS in Surgery from the Inst. of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu Univ., in 1997 and 1999, respectively. Later, he earned a DNB in Surgical Oncology from the National Board of Examinations in 2008. He also holds a Fellowship of American Coll. of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Giri received specialized advanced training in Head and Neck Surgery from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, USA. He was also trained in Peritoneal Surface Surgery, CRS, and HIPEC at MedStar Washington Medical Centre in the USA. He also moved to Japan and received Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal and Colorectal Surgery advanced training from the Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research, Tokyo. Dr. Giri is recognized for his specialization in managing complex clinical situations and his dedication to evidence?led cancer management. He is actively involved in research and has numerous publications in reputed oncology journals. He is a part of various prestigious cancer societies, including the Society of Surgical Oncology (USA), the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, the Association of Surgeons of India, and the American Coll. of Surgeons. He has performed live surgeries at various workshops.
