Dr. Arunava Lala

About Us

Dr. Arunava Lala is a well?recognized orthopedic surgeon practicing in Kolkata, having gained more than 21 years of professional experience in the field. Dr. Lala’s specialization is knee and hip replacement surgery and revision replacement surgeries. He has performed over 1000 upper and lower limb trauma surgeries, over 500 soft tissue procedures, and over 500 hip and knee replacements. He has also performed several life-saving surgeries like joint reductions, amputations, and fractures. Dr. Lala completed his MBBS at MS Ramaiah Medical Coll. and Hosp., Bengaluru in 2003. He obtained his MS in Orthopedics from Santosh Medical Coll. and Hosp. in 2009. He also holds an MCh from the Univ. of Seychelles - American Inst. of Medicine (USAIM), obtained in 2013. He also holds a Fellowship in Joint Replacement Surgery from Peerless Hosp. Kolkata. He has completed the AO Basic, Advanced and Master’s courses, and has served as an AO faculty member since 2017. He also has completed rheumatology, arthroplasty, and spine advanced training from international organizations. Since 2006, Dr. Lala has served as an active participant in the Annual Conference of the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOACON). He has presented several publications and posters at the IOACON. He has attended multiple international, national, and state-level orthopedic conferences, CMEs, and post-graduate advanced training programs. He has six years of professional experience teaching orthopedic surgery. He is a part of many international organizations such as the AO Foundation, the Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie (SICOT), and the International Society for Knowledge for Surgeons on Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty (ISKSAA). He is also a life part of national organizations like the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), West Bengal Orthopaedic Association (WBOA), Medical Council of India (MCI), and many others.
