About Us

Dr. Athira Ramakrishnan is an experienced ENT and Head and Neck Surgeon. She brings over 18 years of specialization in her field. Her specialization lies in head and neck cancer surgery and reconstruction, excelling in the removal of various head and neck cancers and subsequent reconstruction of surgical defects. Under the mentorship of distinguished surgeons, Dr. Athira has honed her skills in various ENT surgeries, including endoscopic sinus surgeries, ear surgeries, thyroid surgeries, phonosurgery, laryngeal and oral laser surgery, and head and neck cancer surgery. Educationally, she completed her MBBS at JIPMER, Pondicherry (2000-2006), followed by a MS in ENT at PGIMER, Chandigarh (2006-2009), with extensive practical advanced training in ear, endoscopic, and head and neck surgeries. Dr. Athira further pursued a Fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery at RGUHS (2013-2014) and received Transoral Robotic Surgery advanced training in 2019 in Seoul, South Korea. She is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients post-treatment, employing techniques such as organ-preserving surgeries, laser surgery, and robotic surgery whenever feasible. Dr. Athira is skilled in Transoral Robotic Surgery and is recognized as an Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Correction Specialist. She is an active part of the Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology (FHNO), and the All India Rhinology Society.
