• Dr. Azhar Perwaiz is a well-known GI Surgeon, GI Oncologist, and Bariatric Surgeon with over 25 years of experience.
• With extensive experience in managing gastrointestinal diseases and cancers, including liver cancer and transplantation, Dr. Perwaiz has performed numerous esophageal cancer resections and radical gastrectomies using cutting-edge techniques.
• Additionally, he excels in managing hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, colon and rectum cancers, and performing pouch surgeries for ulcerative colitis.
• He completed his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, 1999, MS (General Surgery) from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, 2004, and DNB (Surgical Gastroenterology) from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, 2009.
• He is recognized as the best DNB trainee in 2009 at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, he has focused his expertise on Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Diseases.
• Over the span of a decade, Dr. Perwaiz has established himself as a prominent figure in surgical practice and academia, affiliating with various surgical societies and earning recognition as a faculty and proctor for academic surgical events and training programs.
• Dr. Perwaiz is an active member of the Medical Council of India and the National Academy of Medical Sciences.
