He excels in a diverse array of surgical specialties, including general surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery, minimal access surgery, bariatric surgery, trauma surgery, surgical critical care, breast, cardiothoracic, colorectal, endocrine, vascular, and reconstructive surgery. After completing his MBBS from the Univ. of Agra in 1956, he also achieved an MS, Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery, UK 1960, and a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS). Dr. Kapur's accolades include numerous accolades and orations, and his contributions to medical literature are evidenced by his extensive publication record in esteemed medical journals. He is a part of the Medical Council of India (MCI).
