About Us

Dr. Balakrishna S. is a senior surgical gastroenterologist with more than 16 years of professional experience in his field. He focuses on performing both laparoscopic and open surgeries for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. In addition to open surgeries, Dr. Balakrishna S. also has specialization in performing advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeries. Dr. Balakrishna S. N. has a special interest in performing advanced robotic gastric surgeries for various gastrointestinal ailments. He obtained his MBBS degree from Bangalore Medical Coll. and Research Inst. in 2008, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Karnataka Inst. of Medical Sciences (K.I.M.S), Hubli in 2012. To further specialize in his field, Dr. Balakrishna pursued an MCh degree in Surgical Gastroenterology from the well?recognized All India Inst. of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, which he completed in 2020. He has presented several posters at prestigious conferences, including LTSICON and IASGCON, on topics such as the evaluation of sarcopenia in liver transplant patients and the surgical management of Crohn's disease. Dr. Balakrishna S. N. is a part of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) and the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI).
