Dr. Bibhas Ranjan Kundu is a highly qualified urologist with 39 years of professional experience. He has performed over 6000 LASER operations for Prostate and Urinary Stones. He is an an expert in handling Modern Lasers and Video Flexi URS technology. He has specialization in performing surgeries like Vasectomy, Urostomy, Lithotripsy, Urethrotomy and Nephrectomy. Aside from these minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Kundu focuses on reconstructive Urologic Surgery, such as Urethra and Bladder reconstruction Prostatic Enlargement Kidney, Bladder, Prostate Cancer Urinary Stones Bleeding from the Urethra (Hematuria) Urethral Narrowing (Strictures) He graduated from Burdwan Medical Coll. in 1985 with various honors. He received Univ. gold medals in pharmacology, surgery, ophthalmology, and ENT after receiving the best grades in these fields. He received his medical advanced training in the UK, where he served with the well?recognized urologist John Wickham as an associate lecturer and collaborator on the well-known Guy's Hosp. Robotics Project at Imperial Coll. of Science & Technology London. The results of this, the first attempt to build a robot capable of performing a prostate operation, were given at the 1996 Edinburgh meeting of the British Association of Urologists. He and Prof. Andreas Gross of Hamburg, Germany, introduced laser surgery to Eastern India in 2007. He received the Anungo Mohan Gold Medal from the West Bengal branch of the Association of Surgeons of India for earning the highest grade in MS General Surgery at Medical Coll., Calcutta.
