Dr. Charles Panackel is a seasoned Hepatologist and Liver transplant surgeon with more than 22 years of professional experience. His specialization includes Viral Hepatitis C, Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis, and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, and he holds membership in the International Society of Liver Surgeons and the Indian Medical Council of India. Dr. Panackel's educational journey includes MBBS from Govt. Medical Coll., Kottayam, MD in General Medicine. After this, he completed a DM in Gastroenterology from Govt. Medical Coll., Thiruvananthapuram. He further expanded his expertise with a Clinical Fellow in Hepatology from NUH, Singapore, and a certification in Gastroenterology from the prestigious Royal Coll. of Physicians, UK. Dr. Panackel has a substantial list of national and international publications in accredited journals, and he is frequently invited as a guest speaker in scientific meetings, CMEs, and conferences worldwide, focusing on the management of Liver Cancer. He is an active part of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD), the European Association for the Study of Liver Disease (EASL), the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS), and the Asia Pacific Association for the Study of liver disease (APASL).
