Dr. D K Agarwal, an esteemed Nephrologist, currently serves as a Senior Consultant in Nephrology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals. With more than 39 years of professional experience, he focuses on Renal Transplantation, hemodialysis, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD), and comprehensive management of kidney disorders, including critical cases requiring emergency interventions. He possesses a particular proficiency in managing kidney-related complications arising from conditions such as Diabetes and Hypertension. Dr. Agarwal has professional experience performing over 1000 renal transplants, including cadaveric and live. His educational qualifications include an MBBS from Agra Univ. in 1985, MD (Medicine) from Agra Univ. in 1988, DM (Nephrology), DNB (Nephrology) from the National Board of Examination, India, 1993, MNAMS (Nephrology), and MAMS (Nephrology). He also achieved fellowships from Indian Association of Clinical Medicine, 1994, IMA Academy of Medical Specialties, 1997, Indian Coll. of Physicians (FICP), 2001, and Indian Society of Nephrology (FISN), 2003. He has served as actively involved in the CAPD program and has presented work on CAPD in California, USA. Dr. Agarwal has contributed significantly to the field of nephrology through the publication of 59 publications in national and international journals. He has contributed chapters on various topics and many publications in books/journals of international and national repute, as well as delivered many lectures and chaired sessions at various conferences. He is an active part of various prestigious medical societies, including the Association of Physicians of India, the Indian Society of Electrocardiology, the Indian Society of Nephrology, the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, the Hyderabad Transplant Forum, and the Indian Association of Clinical Medicine.
