Dr. Giriraj Bora

About Us

Dr. Giriraj Bora is a widely experienced Gastrointestinal Surgeon and Liver Transplant Surgeon with more than 22 years of professional experience. He focuses on liver transplantation and liver resections for Hepatocellular cancers, combined liver-kidney transplantation, and Pancreatic Surgery (surgery for chronic pancreatitis and Whipple’s pancreaticoduodenal resections). He successfully completed over 1500 liver transplants and holds vast professional experience in advanced Gastrointestinal operations. His educational background includes an MBBS from JLN Medical Coll. in 2000, an MS (General Surgery) from JLN Medical Coll. in 2003, and an MCh (Surgical Gastroenterology/GI Surgery) from GB Pant Hosp., Delhi, in 2009. The Chief Minister of Rajasthan felicitated him for performing the first liver transplant in Rajasthan. Dr. Bora has performed both the first living donor and the first deceased donor liver transplants in Rajasthan. His research focuses on hemodynamic changes during liver transplant and changes during IVC cross-clamping in LDLT. He is a distinguished part of the Delhi Medical Council. Dr. Bora has numerous publications in the field of Liver Transplantation/GI Surgery and presentations at national and international conferences, including International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) conferences in San Francisco (2012) and Sydney (2013).
