Dr Gouranga Sarkar is a well-known cardiologist having over 20 + years of professional experience in the field of cardiology. He has performed over 2000 cardiac operations, from minimal to radical and intricate, including Cardiovascular interventions like cardioversion, cardiac ablation, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). Advanced cardiac procedures such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery, carotid angioplasty and stenting, and pediatric cardiac surgery. comprehensive care in non-invasive cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and treatment for carotid artery disease and cardiac catheterization. Dr. Sarkar possesses a strong educational background, having earned an MBBS degree from Calcutta Univ. in 2001 and an MD in Medical Radio-Diagnosis from West Bengal Univ. of Health Sciences in 2006, General Medicine in 2010, and Cardiology in 2017. He also has undergone further advanced training in interventional cardiology and has undergone certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). He received the Best Cardiologist accolade during the West Bengal Health accolades in 2021 and a gold medal in his MD program.
