Dr. Govindaraj AB is a Director, Senior Consultant, and a proficient orthopedic surgeon with 44 years of professional experience. Because of his extensive professional experience, he is considered one of the top choices for surgeons for joint-related surgeries in India. He is known for treating conditions like Osteoarthritis, Avascular Necrosis of the Hip Joint, Knee Osteoarthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Major Fractures, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and many more. His specializations are Shoulder Replacement, Replacement Instrumentation, Spine Surgery, Single-Biting Bilateral Total Knee Replacement, and Joint Replacement Surgery. He trains medical students interested in becoming orthopedic surgeons in joint replacement procedures by demonstrating live cases in his workshops. His qualifications include an MBBS from Thanjavur Medical Coll., Thanjavur, in 1979 and an MS (Orthopaedics) from Madras Medical Coll., Chennai, in 1982. Later, he went to Glasgow, UK, 1987 to do the Royal Coll. of Physicians & Surgeons Fellowship. He also underwent eight years of advanced advanced training in the UK under well?recognized surgeons to excel in orthopedics and joint replacement surgery. Today, Dr. Govindaraj performs nearly 200+ joint replacement surgeries in a year. He has performed about 10,000+ surgeries, including 3,000+ joint replacement surgeries. He has published numerous abstracts, publications, and articles in national and international journals. He is among the top choices as an editor and reviewer for several orthopedic journals.
