Dr. Guruprasad Hosurkar is a leading and well?recognized Neurologist. With more than 15 years of professional professional experience, he specialized in Epilepsy Treatment, Parkinson's Disease Treatment, Headache Management, and Nerve and Muscle Disorders Deep Brain Stimulation Therapy, Botulinum Toxin Injections. Dr. Hosurkar offers a range of services including treatment for Neuromuscular disorders, Electromyography (EMG), Parkinson's Disease, and Nerve and Muscle Disorders, among others. Alongside his team, he has successfully managed numerous stroke patients, actively participating in the monitoring and administration of intra-arterial, intravenous, and mechanical thrombolysis as per patient requirements, leading to favorable clinical outcomes. He earned his MBBS from Vijayanagara Inst. of Medical Sciences (VIMS), Bellary in 1996, MD in Internal Medicine from King Edward Memorial Hosp. and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical Coll. in 2001. After this, he did DNB in Neurology from the DNB board, New Delhi in 2004. He has served as a faculty member in neurocritical conferences and has served as invited as a guest speaker in various regional and national neurological meetings. Dr. Hosurkar has presented several intriguing neurological cases in these forums, covering topics such as temporal arteritis mimicking stroke, unusual painful syndromes associated with TB arachnoiditis and myelitis, acute stroke intervention, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy.
