Dr. Hemant B. Tongaonkar is a well?recognized oncologist with vast professional experience 44 years of in the field. Dr. Hemant B. Tongaonkar focuses on various cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and hormonal therapy. He did his MBBS and MS (General Surgery) in 1986 from the Univ. of Mumbai. He also did a Urologic & Gynaecologic Oncology fellowship at the Tata Memorial Hosp.. He also took the Residency Programme in Surgical Oncology at Tata Memorial Hosp. Dr. Tongaonkar brings more than 200 scientific publications and 17 book chapters to his credit. He is actively involved in oncology research. He is a highly regarded part of various associations the Association of Gynaecologic Oncologists of India, the Genitourinary Cancer Society of India, the Asia Oceania Association of Genital Infections & Neoplasia (AOGIN), the International Gynaecologic Cancer Society, and Eurasian Federation of Oncology First Indian to be honored with Honorary Membership accolade & Oration from Urological Association of Asia, in appreciation of efforts and contributions in promoting the level of Asian Urology, at Singapore, 2016. He was honored to receive the Rashtriya Rattan accolade (Gold medal, citation & plaque) International Study Circle, New Delhi, the Urology Gold Medal of the Urological Society of India, and other prestigious accolades.
