About Us

Dr. Ilango Sethu is a leading and well?recognized Surgical Gastroenterologist. With an extensive career spanning more than 17 years, he focuses on Transplant and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) and Solid Organ Transplantation. He holds vast specialization in the surgical management of gastrointestinal diseases, particularly cancers, as well as the treatment of various liver and gall diseases. He has specialization in treating a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases, including Pancreatic Head Cancer, Alcoholic Liver Disease, Liver Failure, Crohn's Disease, Severe Diverticulitis, and Wilson's Disease. Remarkably, he has treated over 10,000 patients throughout his career. Dr. Sethu's educational background includes an MBBS from Madras Medical Coll., Chennai, in 1995 and an MS (General Surgery) from Medical Coll., Trivandram, in 2000. He completed an MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology/GI Surgery from Madras Medical Coll., Chennai, in 2010. Additionally, he holds prestigious fellowships, including a a fellow of the American Coll. of Surgeons (FACS) and an Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship (ASTS) from the USA. He is actively engaged in professional memberships, including the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), the American Coll. of Surgeons (ACS), and the Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
