After completing his MBBS from the Univ. of Lucknow in 1967, he also achieved an MD (Medicine) from Kanpur Univ. in 1971 Dr. Chandra also received a Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP), UK, 1976; Fellowship of the Royal Coll. of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCP), Glasgow, 2003; Fellowship of The Royal Coll.
