Dr. Mohan K Puttaswamy is a well?recognized Orthopedic Surgeon. He has an professional experience of more than 18 years in this field. His expertise lies in performing joint replacement surgeries, arthroscopies, trauma management, and sports injuries. With over a decade of professional experience in Orthopaedics, Dr. Mohan has performed nearly 1000 joint replacement surgeries, including both primary and complex revision procedures for hip and knee joints. He graduated from Bangalore Medical Coll. in 2001 and pursued his MS in Orthopaedics at Madras Medical Coll., where he distinguished himself by securing two gold medals and ranking first in the state of Tamil Nadu. Dr. Mohan served as Assistant and Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at PESIMSR for four years, overseeing a substantial number of trauma patients in a teaching environment. Subsequently, he pursued advanced surgical advanced training in the United States under the mentorship of Dr. Kenneth Krackow, a prominent figure in Uncemented Total Knee Arthroplasty. He was then selected for a Fellowship in pediatric Orthopaedics at Harvard Univ.'s Massachusetts General Hosp., where he worked alongside leading experts in the field. Dr. Mohan's dedication to academia is evident through his teaching professional experience and mentorship of numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. Additionally, he possesses specialized advanced training in Joint Preservation Surgeries for patients with early arthritis who may not be suitable candidates for hip and knee replacement.
