Dr. Mohit Sharma is a distinguished Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with more than 22 years of professional experience. He focuses on microvascular techniques for complex reconstructive procedures. He is well?recognized for initiating India's first Vascularised Composite Allotransplantation (VCA) program in 2015, gaining extensive professional experience in Hand Transplantation. In addition to reconstructive surgery, Dr. Sharma offers a wide range of cosmetic and aesthetic procedures, including facelifts, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, body contouring, and non-surgical treatments like Botox and dermal fillers. His specialization in microvascular techniques allows for precise restoration of facial features, addressing issues such as fractures, soft tissue injuries, and facial deformities resulting from accidents or previous surgeries. He is skilled in reconstructive procedures for facial trauma, helping patients regain both functionality and aesthetics. After completing his MBBS and MS (General Surgery) from SMS Medical Coll., Jaipur, Rajasthan, he also achieved an MCh (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) from Safdarjung Hosp., Delhi Univ., in 2002. Dr. Sharma further achieved a Fellowship in Hand Surgery from St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery, Chelmsford, UK, in 2008, and a Fellowship in Burns from St Andrew's Centre (the UK's largest burns unit and reconstructive surgery unit), Chelmsford, UK, 2009. He acts as a reviewer for international journals and the Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery. He is deeply invested in producing high-quality educational videos on reconstructive surgery to train future surgeons. He is an active part of the International Society for Vascularised Composite Allotransplantation, Indian Society for Organ Transplantation, Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand, and Indian Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. Dr. Sharma is fluent in English and Hindi.
