He is the esteemed founder of the Escorts Heart Inst. & Research Centre, a pioneering institution in cardiac care. Dr. Trehan's academic journey began with an MBBS from King George Dental Coll., Lucknow, in 1968, followed by advanced studies in cardiothoracic surgeries from the American Board of Surgery, USA. He holds a Royal Australasian Coll. of Surgeons Fellowship, obtained in 2002. He served as the personal surgeon to the President of India since 1991, underlining his exceptional skills and trustworthiness.
