Dr. Poonam N Tara Thakur is an experienced Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and Foetal Medicine Specialist with an professional experience of over 30+ years. Her interests include Maternal-Foetal Medicine, High-Risk Obstetrics, and Gynaecological Surgeries especially those complicated with problems in pregnancy, Menopause, Urogynae problems, Osteoporosis, etc. She performs Tubectomy, Normal Vaginal Delivery, Fetal scanning, Medical termination of pregnancy, etc. She achieved her MBBS and MD (Obstetrics and Gynecology) from BJ Medical Coll., Pune & Lalit Narayan Mithila Univ., Darbhanga, in 1993 and 1999 respectively. She is a part of many medical organizations including the Medical Council of India (MCI), Royal Coll. of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG), International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ISUOG). She is also an active part of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI), Society of Foetal Medicine (SFM), India Delhi Medical Association (DMA), Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Delhi (AOGD), Sub-Committee on Foetal Medicine.
