Dr. Prakash Kumar Hazra is a well?recognized and highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist in Kolkata He brings over 36 years of professional experience in this field. His specialization lies in performing various cardiac procedures including Cardiac Angiography, Coronary Angioplasty, Pace maker implantation, and many more. He was the first surgeon in Kolkata and 2nd in India who was responsible for installing the first artificial heart in a man. Dr. Prakash was also responsible for installing Pacemaker in a 7-year-old boy from Manipur. He successfully performed over 10,000 Radial Angiography, 2500 Coronary Angioplasty, 2500 Pacemaker Implantations, and 50 Peripheral Angioplasty. He completed his MBBS from Calcutta Univ. and MD in Medicine and Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. After this, he completed a DNB in General Medicine from the National Board of Examination. He did DM In Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He is a part of the Cardiological Society of India.
