Dr. Prashant Saxena is one of the most well?recognized Pulmonologists with more than 22 years of professional experience. He focuses on respiratory and chest diseases, interventional pulmonary disease, critical care, and sleep medicine. He completed ICU Fellowship advanced training at Westmead and Liverpool Hospitals in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Saxena holds an M.D. in Respiratory Medicine and prestigious qualifications, including the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC), a a fellow of the Coll. of Chest Physicians (FCCP, USA), and a European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine (EDARM). He received advanced training in Interventional Pulmonology from Greece, Thoracoscopy from France, and Pediatric Bronchoscopy from Italy. Dr. Saxena completed the Executive Management Program in Health (EMPH) from Virginia Univ., USA. With a keen interest in infection control, he developed effective infection prevention bundle protocols, significantly reducing Hosp.-acquired infection rates and antibiotic costs. He implemented Antibiotics Stewardship programs to combat Antibiotic resistance and decrease preventable Hosp.-associated infections and treatment costs. Dr. Saxena introduced the Rapid Response Team concept to minimize unexpected events in hospitals. Dr. Saxena serves as a teacher for IDCCM (Indian Diploma in Critical Care) and as an Examiner, Teacher, and Supervisor for MRCP (U.K.), Royal Coll. of Physicians of the United Kingdom. He has received prestigious accolades such as the Buddha Peace accolade, Dr. BR Ambedkar Prerna Samman, Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist of the Year, and Best Pulmonologist of North India. He is an active part of the European Respiratory Society, the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, and the American Coll. of Chest Physicians.
