Dr. Prof. Sanjay Tyagi is an esteemed Interventional Cardiologist with more than 45 years of professional experience. He focuses on Clinical Cardiology, Intensive Coronary Care, diagnosing and treating coronary heart diseases, abnormal heart rhythms, heart failures, valvular heart diseases, vascular disease, and congenital heart diseases. He also focuses on advanced Pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTD implants. He is known for pioneering Interventional Cardiology in India, particularly in coronary and vascular Interventions. After completing his MBBS from the Univ. of Delhi in 1978, he also achieved an MD (Medicine) from Maulana Azad Medical Coll., Univ. of Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 1983, and a DM (Cardiology) from GB Pant Hosp., Univ. of Delhi, New Delhi, India, 1985. Dr. Tyagi has served as awarded a highly prestigious Fellowship from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India), a Fellowship from the European Society of Cardiology, a Fellowship from the Society of Cardiovascular Interventions (USA), a a fellow of the International Coll. of Angiology (USA), Fellowship of Royal Coll. of Physicians (Edinburgh) and Fellowship of American Coll. of Cardiology. He is an eminent medical educator, serving as faculty in the Department of Cardiology at G B Pant Inst. of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Maulana Azad Medical Coll., since 1986. He is Secretary General of the International Coll. of Angiology & is on the Editorial Board of the Angiology Journal, USA. Dr. Tyagi possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective connections with colleagues, patients, and their families. He brings more than 300 research articles published in peer-reviewed, national & internationally indexed medical journals. He is an active part of the Cardiological Society of India, the Royal Coll. of Physicians (UK), and the European Society Of Cardiology.
