About Us

• Dr. Puneet Dhar boasts over 30 years of experience as a Surgical Gastroenterologist, specializing in a variety of fields within the superspecialty.
• His expertise encompass GI Cancer Surgery, Pancreatic Surgery, Neuroendocrine Tumors, Biliary reconstructions, Retroperitoneal surgery, Pouch surgery for complex colorectal disease, Laparoscopic surgery, Surgical Infections, etc.
• After completing his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, he also earned an MS (General Surgery) from Safdarjung Hospital, University of Delhi, and an MCh (Surgical Gastro) from GB Pant Hospital, University of Delhi.
• Dr. Dhar further pursued a fellowship in Transplant Surgery at Cambridge University Hospitals Trust, UK, where he also served as a locum consultant.
• He played an important role in establishing a leading GI surgery center at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, recognized as one of the largest and finest in the country.
• He has made significant contributions to the field through extensive publications in reputable journals and book chapters, alongside serving as a reviewer and editorial board member for various medical publications and societies.
• He actively engages in professional societies, has held executive positions, and is the President-elect of the Indian Chapter of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
• Additionally, he coordinates webinars for the National Board of Examinations and has contributed to the Governing Body of the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences.
• Outside his professional endeavors, Dr. Dhar is involved in charitable activities with Amrita Math and Rotary, lending his expertise to both medical and non-medical administrative capacities and boards.
• He is a dedicated organizer of CMEs and medical conferences, facilitating knowledge dissemination for scientific associations, and engages in teaching activities, including online and through social media platforms.
