Dr. Rajagopalan Krishnan is an esteemed Spine Surgeon with more than 48 years of professional experience. His services are among the most demanded in India, with over 3000 OPD patients per year & over 350 spine surgeries a year. He focuses on treating all spinal disorders ranging from the gamut to the disc and degenerative disorders to spinal deformities, spinal infections, spinal trauma, and spinal tumors. Dr. Krishnan's interests include complex spine surgery, including craniocervical surgery, lumbopelvic reconstruction, cervical osteotomy, complex revision of failed spine surgery, shape memory metal rods, and staple instrumentation systems for spinal deformities. Some of the services provided by Dr. Krishnan are Ankle-Brachial Index, Spinal Diseases, Foot Injury Treatment, Orthopedic physical therapy, High-Risk Wound Care, etc. He had developed his techniques for Sacral Tarlov cysts and anterior long and short-segment instrumented correction for pediatric and adult spinal deformities. His educational qualifications include an MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical Coll., Univ. of Delhi, 1976; MS (Orthopedics) from Central Inst. of Orthopedics, Safdarjung Hosp., Univ. of Delhi, 1980; and MCH from Royal Postgraduate Medical School & Hammersmith Hosp., London. Dr. Krishnan is also dedicated to teaching a 4-month Basic Spine Course at the prestigious MAMC annually for postgraduates and intends to develop Advanced Spine Workshops in due course. He is a part of the Association of Spine Surgeons of India, the Delhi Spine Society, the British Orthopaedic Association, the Delhi Medical Council, the Arthritis & Rheumatism Council, and the Wolfson Foundation.
