Dr. Rajiv G. Bhagwat is a reputed interventional cardiologist with 39 years of professional experience. He focuses on Coronary angioplasties, Rescue Angioplasties, and Angioplasty in Cardiogenic shock, Peripheral and Renal Angioplasty with stenting. He is an an expert in handling cardiac emergency cases. He earned an MBBS degree in 1985 and an MD in General Medicine in December 1989 from Gajra Raja Medical Coll. of Jiwaji Univ.. After that, he pursued a DNB in Cardiology in 1997. He and his team were the first in Mumbai to close the post-infarction ventricular septal defect successfully. He has authored 07 cardiology research publications, giving insight into the field in national and international journals. He holds membership in prestigious associations like the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the Association of Medical Consultants. He is the Founding member and trustee of Mumbai's Bifurcation Club of India. He is recognized for his contribution to the clinical and research field.
