Dr. Ramji Mehrotra is a leading and skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon in India. Over the course of the last 27 years, he has dedicated his focus to CABGs, particularly in caring for patients with end-stage heart failure, CAD, and valvular disease. His expertise lies in performing a wide range of procedures, including extensively assisted and performed CABGs, total arterial CABGs, redo arterial CABGs, beating heart CABGs, valve replacements, and repairs, as well as handling simple congenital cases such as ASD, VSD, BD Glenn, and TOF repairs. With a track record of over 15,000 cardiovascular cases and 1,000 paediatric surgeries, he has amassed significant professional experience in the field. Dr. Ramji completed his MBBS in 1990 and MS in General Surgery in 1992 from the Inst. of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu Univ. (IMS-BHU). After this, he completed an MCh in Cardio Thoracic Surgery from AIIMS, New Delhi, in 1996. He received a Fellowship (Cardiac Surgery) from Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. He was best known for performing the first arterial switch operation in Mumbai, the first total arterial revascularization, and the first total arterial revascularization using bilateral mammary arteries in Delhi. He received the Time of India "Legends of Cardiac Surgery" accolade for his exceptional contribution.
