Dr. Randeep Wadhawan, a well?recognized Bariatric Surgeon, has an impressive career spanning 35 years, He focuses on Bariatric, Metabolic Surgery, and GI Surgery, having served as an an expert in various cities across India. His specialized interests include the treatment of anal fissures, fistula, hernia repair, hemorrhoids, laparoscopic epigastric hernia, inguinal hernia repair, and procedures such as epigastric sleeve gastroplasty, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass surgery, and metabolic surgery for type 2 diabetes. Dr. Wadhawan has performed over 30,000 surgeries in Minimal Access, Bariatric, Metabolic Surgery and GI Surgery. He has trained over 500 surgeons in the field of Bariatric and Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgeries from India and SAARC Countries. He is known for his meticulous approach to diagnosis and compassionate patient care and has successfully managed numerous complex medical cases in multiple Hosp. settings. He earned his MBBS degree in 1989 and MS in General Surgery in 1994 from Maharshi Dayanand Univ., Rohtak. Dr. Wadhawan furthered his expertise through various fellowships, including FIAGS, FMAS, and FAIS. He has delivered over 350 invited lectures at National and international conferences and orations at National conferences & CMEs. He brings more than 50 publications in National and International Journals and has written chapters in books. He has performed over 50 Live operative workshops in Bariatric procedures, Advanced Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal surgeries, and Endo Hernias. He is also the Associate Editor of the Journal of Bariatric Surgery. He is actively engaged in research and has contributed to numerous publications and workshops within his field. Dr. Wadhawan holds memberships in esteemed medical councils such as the Delhi Medical Council (DMC), the Medical Council of India (MCI), the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES), the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Obesity Surgery Society of India (OSSI), International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), Hernia Society of India (HSI), Asia-Pacific Hernia Society (APHS), Delhi Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India, and Indian Medical Association (IMA).
