Dr. Ritabrata Mitra is a pulmonologist with more than 22 years of professional experience in the field. He is a specialist in treating tuberculosis and other chest disorders. He is known for treating and managing several conditions, such as bronchitis, allergic asthma, upper and lower respiratory tract infection, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchial asthma, nasal allergies, pneumonia, pleural effusion, and pleurisy. He also performs diagnostic procedures such as patch testing, pulmonary function tests, thoracoscopy, spirometry, bronchoscopy, and skin prick testing. He completed his MBBS at the Univ. of Calcutta in 2002. He completed his MD in Pulmonary Medicine at the West Bengal Univ. of Health Sciences in 2010. He holds a fellowship in pulmonary medicine (FCCP) from the prestigious American Coll. of Chest Physicians, USA, which he obtained in 2012. Dr. Mitra is a distinguished researcher who has published multiple articles in reputed journals such as the ‘International Journal of Scientific Research’ and the ‘Indian Journal of Chest Diseases & Allied Sciences.’ He is an active part of esteemed international and national organizations such as the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the Indian Chest Society (ICS).
