• Dr. Robert Mao is amongst the best Cardiologists in Chennai and has over 47 years of experience.
• He specializes in Mitral Valve Replacement, Angiogram, Vascular Surgery, Open Heart Surgery, Aortic Valve Replacement, Arterial Spetal Defect Surgery, Ventricular Spetal Defect Surgery, PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Interventions), and more.
• He is also known for his expertise in Coronary Angioplasty, Permanent Pacemaker Insertion, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TABR), Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair (EAVR), and PDA device closure. 
• Dr. Mao completed his MBBS, MD (General Medicine), and DM (Cardiology) from Karnataka University in 1977, 1980, and 1982, respectively.
• Later, he went abroad and did various fellowships and training at some of the most advanced medical institutes in the USA and UK.
• Some of his fellowships are FICC - Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors, FCCP - Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, FSCAI - Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Intervention, and FESC - Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.
• Dr. Mao has contributed significantly to the field of cardiology and is an esteemed member of the Tamilnadu Medical Council.
