About Us

Dr. Ruquaya Ahmad Mir boasts more than 35 years of successful practice as a Surgical Oncologist. She is skilled in various surgical procedures, including those for Head and Neck cancers, Lung and Esophageal cancers, major Gastrointestinal Malignancies, Breast and Gynecologic malignancies, and Soft Tissue Sarcomas. She is skilled in the implantation and maintenance of long-term vascular access devices. She holds a particular interest in breast cancer and gynecologic gastrointestinal malignancies. She is trained in Robotic Surgery, striving to incorporate minimally invasive techniques into surgical oncology. Dr. Mir is skilled in advanced surgical techniques such as Cytoreductive surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal chemotherapy for advanced colorectal and recurrent ovarian malignancies, Conservation of the breast for Cancer, Surgery for cancers of the uterus and Ovary, and Limb Conservation surgery for bone and soft tissue sarcomas for limbs. Her educational qualifications include an MBBS from the Univ. of Kashmir in 1989 and a DNB in General Surgery from the National Board Of Examination in 1998. Dr. Mir is actively involved in the advanced training of postgraduate surgical students for DNB Surgery and DNB Surgical Oncology, as well as nursing staff.
