About Us

Dr. Saptarshi Roy is an eminent cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon with more than 25 years of professional experience in the field. He has performed over ten thousand cardiac operations and has dealt with such challenging operations as CABG, valve surgeries, operations on the aortic root and arch, etc. His expertise encompasses: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) Valve Repair and Replacement Aortic Root and Arch Replacement Heart and Lung Transplantation Implantation of the LVAD Dr. Roy passed his MBBS in 1999, MS in General Surgery in 2006, and MCh in Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery in 2010 from the Medical Coll., Calcutta. He undertook a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Royal Perth Hosp. in Australia, which enabled him to gain more professional experience in ALS, heart-lung transplantation and general management of LVAD patients. Dr. Roy is also involved in various professional associations, such as the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT).
