• Dr. Satyakam Baruah is a distinguished Neurosurgeon with over 14 years of experience.
• His professional interests revolve around Epilepsy Surgery, Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Precise Excision of Brain Tumors in critical areas, Functional Neurosurgery, Neuroendoscopy, and Robotics.
• He is proficient in a comprehensive range of Minimally Invasive Neurosurgical techniques and is adept at performing advanced procedures like Neuroendoscopy for the Brain and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.
• After completing his MBBS from Silchar Medical College, Assam, India, he also achieved an MS (General Surgery) from Gauhati Medical College and an MCh (Neurosurgery) from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore.
• Dr. Baruah also achieved a Fellowship in Epilepsy Surgery from Montreal Neurological Institute, Canada.
• As a Clinical Fellow in Epilepsy Surgery at the Montreal Neurological Institute, he gained extensive experience in high-quality Epilepsy Surgery under the guidance of renowned experts like Dr. Andrea Olivere and Dr. Jeffery A Hall.
• He is a certified Neurosurgeon specializing in Epilepsy Surgery and completed his advanced training at the renowned Montreal Neurological Institute in Canada.
• His training encompassed various intricate surgeries for epilepsy and brain tumors, including both conventional open procedures and cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques such as thermocoagulation and Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy.
• Dr. Baruah actively contributed to the MNI Robotic StereoEEG Team from 2018 to 2019 and continues to collaborate with them, enhancing his expertise in advanced procedures like Robotic StereoEEG and neuromodulatory techniques such as VNS and DBS for epilepsy treatment.
