Dr. Basandani is an acclaimed neurosurgeon with 47 years of professional experience in the field. In his long years of medical professional experience, he has performed several successful surgeries. One of which was when he treated two patients successfully who had dumbbell-shaped tumors. His expertise is in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery, advanced spine surgery, and endoscopic brain surgery. Dr. Shankar Basandani began his medical journey with an MBBS in 1977 and then an MS from a prestigious Inst. in 1979. He also did an M.Ch in neurosurgery that helped broaden his knowledge in the spectrum. He has published several publications in well-known journals, including the SDMH Index-Journal and the NSSI Journal, that have publicized a few rare cases presented by the doctor. Dr. Basandani’s entire career has earned him membership and fellowship in Advance Spine Surgery, the Neuro Surgeon Society of India, the AO Spine Neurological Society of India, and the Indian Medical Association Spinal Cord Injury Society.
