• Dr. Suddhasattwa Sen is a renowned and prominent Surgical Gastroenterologist.
• He has an experience of more than 25 years in this field.
• His expertise lies in hepatic artery aneurysm, laparoscopic liver surgery for gallbladder cancer, gallbladder gangrene surgery, STARR procedure, etc.
• He is the most reputed and best known surgeon for his exceptional excellence in performing surgeries including performing more than 4000 stapler piles operation in Eastern India, performing surgery with 29 cm longest gallbladder gangrene surgery in the world, and many more.
• He performed the world's most unique surgery on an elderly patient from Jharkhand, addressing a rare 20cm+ Colonic Tubular type Mucinous variant duplication cyst found in the right colon.
• Dr. Sen completed his MBBS from R.G. Kar Medical College, Kolkata and MS in General Surgery from IPGMER.
• After this, he completed his DNB in General Surgery from the National Board of Examinations.
• He also completed MRCS and DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology from CMRI Hospital, Kolkata.
• He completed various fellowships like MNAMS from National Academy of Medical Sciences, Fellowship in AMASI, Fellowship in Hepato - Biliary - Pancreatic Surgery and Liver Transplantation from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi in 2007, and FICS in 2012.
• Dr. Sen was also honored with many prestigious awards for his excellent services including Outstanding Laparoscopic GI HPB Oncosurgeon of the year in 2022 from India, at the Indo Arab Leaders Summit and awards.
