Dr. Tapan Mukherjee is a skilled, experienced and dedicated medical professional with specialization in gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgeries. He brings over 40 years of professional experience, during which time he has both practiced and guided doctors. He is a skilled laparoscopic and gastrointestinal surgeon with offered services including: Hernia repair surgery Open abdominal surgery Laser and stapler piles surgery Scleropathy and laser treatment for varicose veins Thyroidectomy His special expertise exists in advanced laparoscopic surgery along with other surgeries like open cholecystectomy, laser fistula surgery, laser surgery for fissure and open circumcision. He also performs malignant and non-malignant surgery. Dr. Tapan Mukherjee began his medical journey with MBBS from NRS Medical Coll. and Hosp. in 1983. He also completed his MS and DNB in General Surgery from UCM and the National Board of Examination in 1990 and 1995, respectively. He has also undergone advanced training and has participated in workshops and conferences to present publications. Further, his meritorious performance is also evident in the fellowships he has earned, like the one in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery at Gem Inst., Coimbatore. He is also a part of three associations, namely the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), and the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI).
