Dr. Uma Mallaiah, an esteemed Ophthalmologist, boasts more than 30 years of professional professional experience. Her expertise lies in a range of advanced procedures, including Lasik surgery, Phacoemulsification Surgery (MICS), Refractive Surgery, Evisceration with Orbital Implant, Trabeculectomy with SICS, Traumatic Lid Repair, etc. With a track record of 3500 successful cataract surgeries and 500 glaucoma surgeries, she has earned widespread recognition for her expertise. Beyond her surgical skills, she exhibits proficiency in managing various ophthalmic conditions such as Glaucoma, Entropion, Ectropion, DCR, and DCT. Dr. Mallaiah's educational qualifications include an MBBS from Bangalore Univ. in 1994, a DNB from Christian Medical Coll. in 1997, and a Fellowship from the Royal Coll. of Surgeons (FRCS), Edinburgh, London, UK. She demonstrated exceptional academic performance, achieving a distinction during her 4th year of medical Coll.. Her excellence in research was acknowledged with the Best Research Presentation accolade in the Northern Region, United Kingdom. Dr. Mallaiah actively contributes to corporate and international marketing initiatives and has organized outreach camps at prestigious venues, including the American embassy, Hero Honda, and Indian Oil Corporation. She played a pivotal role in establishing the Eye Department in Dubai as a collaboration between Apollo Hospitals.
