About Us

Dr. Varun Mittal is a Kidney Transplant and Advanced Robotic Urologic Cancer Surgeon with more than 26 years of professional experience. His focus areas include swap/paired kidney exchange, ABO/HLA incompatibility, and deceased organ kidney transplants. After completing his MBBS from NKP Salve Inst. of Medical Sciences & Research Centre in 2005, he also achieved MS, Dayanand Medical Coll. & Hosp. Ludhiana, Punjab, 2009, MCh from SGPGIMS Lucknow, 2015, and DNB (Genitourinary Surgery) in 2016. He also received a Fellowship in Robotic Urologic Surgery from the Univ. of Miami, USA 2016. Dr. Mittal has played a pivotal role in the success of kidney transplant programs at well?recognized institutes for over a decade. His academic career is marked by significant accomplishments, including being awarded a Gold medal by AMASI for the best robotic surgery video. He received the International Travel Fellowship accolade from the American Urologic Association in 2015. He has authored numerous book chapters and research articles, contributing to the urology and organ transplantation field. Dr. Mittal has presented various research publications, posters, and surgical videos at urologic and organ transplant conferences on both national and international platforms. He is an active part of the American Urology Association, Urological Society of India, North Zone Urological Society of India, Indian American Urology Association, Indian Society of Organ Transplant, and the Robotic Urology Forum.
