About Us

Dr. Vijay Mohan Kohli is a Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon with more than 38 years of professional experience. Being a specialist in adult cardiac surgery, he has performed over 10,000 cardiac operations within India and at the Univ. Hosp., Uppsala, Sweden. He practices Integrative Medicine (including Yoga, Spirituality, Meditation, Principles of Ayurveda and Naturopathy) and promotes wellness by non-medical means. He was instrumental in setting up cardiac surgery departments and initiating cardiac surgery in various excellent Indian hospitals He completed his MBBS, MS (General Surgery), and MCh (Thoracic Surgery) from KGMC in 1974, 1978, and 1982, respectively. He received the science talent search scholarship from the National Council of Education and Research, New Delhi (1969-70) and a distinguished person accolade from the Old Martinians Association in September 1999. He was also awarded a certification of merit from Apollo Hosp. Chennai for his contribution towards successfully completing the first 1000 open-heart operations. He is an esteemed part of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS), and the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS). He has extensively published and presented professional work in various National and International journals and conferences and is actively involved with teaching and research initiatives.
