Dr. Vikas Jain is a well?recognized Urologist with more than 14 years of professional experience in the field. He has performed over 500 renal transplants at ILBS, demonstrating his proficiency in the area. He has specialization in renal transplant and related procedures, basic and advanced laparoscopic urology, and endo-urology. Notably, Dr. Jain achieved a remarkable feat by performing 4 consecutive renal transplants within a span of 36 hours. He has accomplished several pioneering procedures, including retrieving both kidneys from a 16-month-old brain-dead donor and successfully transplanting them into an adult, a unique case in India. Dr. Jain also performed the first non-heart-beating donor (NHBD) transplant in Delhi/NCR, retrieving both kidneys and transplanting them into two patients. He was the first Indian to receive a scholarship from the European Association of Urology (EUSP), highlighting his recognition on an international level. Dr. Jain boasts an outstanding academic track record, receiving various accolades, including the Prof CKP Menon Best publication accolade for 2010. He was awarded a European Association Urology Scholarship to undergo advanced training in deceased donor renal transplant in Spain. Dr. Jain is a part of several prestigious urological associations, including the American Urological Association, European Association of Urology, Urological Society of India, Delhi Urological Society, Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, American Society of Transplant, and Société Internationale d?Urologie.
