Dr. Vishal Khullar is a well?recognized cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon with 27 years of professional experience. His clinical interests include Heart Valve Repairs and Replacements, Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Complex Surgeries, Aortic Root Replacement, Hemi-Arch, Total Aortic Arch Replacement and Transplant & Mechanical Circulatory Support Cases such as Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant and other cardiothoracic transplants. He is an MBBS graduate from B. J. Medical Coll., Univ. of Pune (1997). Later, in 2005, he did his MS in General Surgery from KEM Hosp. & Seth G S Medical Coll., Mumbai. He also did an MCh in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from the Univ. of Health Sciences, Maharashtra 2010. Dr. Khullar has become the first Cardiovascular Surgeon from the Indian Subcontinent to hold the position of Senior Associate Consultant at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA. He brings more than 50 publications and abstracts on his name published in various national and international journals. He has also authored a chapter for Oxford Univ. Press on ‘Heart Transplant: Brain Death, Organ Donation, and Transplantation.’ He is an active part of various associations: the Medical Association, The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Minnesota Medical Association, The International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, and the Indian Association of Cardiovascular Surgeons. He has served as honored nationally and internationally for his significant contribution.
