Dr. Yash Gulati is a globally acclaimed Orthopedic Surgeon well?recognized for his contributions to Spine Surgery and Joint Replacement. He holds the distinction of being the youngest orthopedic surgeon to receive the Padma Shri accolade from the President of India in recognition of his exceptional service. His clientele includes former Prime Ministers of India, international cricketers, diplomats, and patients from diverse countries. Dr. Gulati focuses on Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Microdiscectomy for slipped discs, and correction of Spine Deformities such as Scoliosis and Spondylolisthesis. He pioneered Endoscopic Disc surgery for Slip Discs in India and employed minimally invasive techniques for Slip Discs, Spinal Canal Stenosis, and Spine Fusion. Notable achievements include being the first Indian to perform Minimally Invasive Trans Foraminal Interbody Fusion (MITLIF) and conducting a live demonstration of Microdiscectomy at the Annual Conference of the Indian Orthopedic Association (IOA). Dr. Gulati brings over 20 years of professional experience in Primary & Revision Knee & Hip Replacement, delivering outstanding surgical outcomes. After completing his MBBS from the Univ. of Delhi in 1978, he also achieved an MS (Orthopedics) from G B Pant Hosp. / Maulana Azad Medical Coll., New Delhi, 1982, and an M.Ch (Orthopedics) from the Univ. of Liverpool, UK, 2002. After gaining valuable professional experience in England and the Republic of Ireland, along with fellowships worldwide, he returned to India to join Apollo Hosp. at its inception. Dr. Gulati was invited to perform a live demonstration of Knee Replacement and Hip Replacement Surgery at the Golden Jubilee Conference of the Indonesian Orthopaedic Association. His extensive research contributions are evident in numerous scientific publications published in Indian and Foreign Journals, including pioneering work in Total Hip Replacement for Sickle Cell Disease. He has organized numerous Orthopaedic, Joint Replacement, and Spine Surgery Conferences and was honored by the Indian Armed Forces as an Honorary Consultant for his voluntary service and contributions to the "Sadbhavana" program. Dr. Gulati has played a pivotal role in facilitating medical tourism, treating patients from numerous countries for Joint Replacement & Spine Surgery. His involvement extends to providing medical cover for cricket test matches, one-day international matches, and the World Cup hockey tournament, as well as serving on the Advisory Medical Committee of the Commonwealth Games. Dr. Gulati serves as the Chairman of the Orthopedic Implants Committee at the Indian Bureau of Standards and has served as featured in various media outlets both nationally and internationally, showcasing his expertise and contributions to the field of orthopedic surgery. He is affiliated with prestigious organizations such as the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), Association of Spine Surgeons of India (ASSI), Indian Arthroplasty Association (IAA), Indian Society for Hip & Knee Surgeons (ISHKS), Delhi Orthopaedic Association (DOA), South Delhi Orthopaedic Society (SDOS), Indian Medical Association (IMA), Delhi Medical Association (DMA), Indian Federation of Sports Medicine (IFSM), and Delhi Medical Council (DMC).
